Welcome Back to Term 4 – Caboolture State School
Welcome back to Term 4! We hope all our families had a restful break and are ready for a positive and productive final term of the year.
At Caboolture SS, we continue to focus on our three school rules that guide everything we do:
- We are Kind – treating others with respect and care.
- We are Safe – making choices that keep ourselves and others safe.
- We are Learners – staying curious, focused, and ready to grow.
These rules help create a calm and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
This term, we’re continuing to build consistent and predictable routines across all classrooms. These routines help students feel secure and ready to learn. Our approach is supported by the Berry Street Education Model, which focuses on building strong relationships, emotional regulation, and resilience in students. When children know what to expect each day, they feel more confident and engaged.
Uniform Reminder
As the weather warms up, please remember our school uniform expectations. Students should wear their full school uniform each day, Caboolture SS shirt and black pants, skirt, skort or shorts. Appropriate footwear (black school shoes and white or black socks) and a school hat for outdoor play. Uniforms help build a sense of pride and belonging in our school community.
New Outdoor Learning Space
We’re thrilled to share that our new outdoor play and learning space is nearly complete and ready for students to enjoy. It has been great to see students relaxing on the grass, playing with balls and socialising with friends.
This beautiful area has been designed to support both play and learning, giving our students a fresh space to explore, connect, and learn.
We’ll be chatting with students about how to care for and use the space respectfully, so it stays clean, safe, and fun for all.
Parentline: Support and advice for all Queensland parents and carers
Being a parent can be rewarding—but it can also be challenging. Whether you’re trying to support your child with school issues, friendship challenges, behaviour, or tough moments at home, it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what to do next.
Parentline is a free and confidential service available to all Queensland parents and carers. No problem is too big or too small—and reaching out early can make a real difference.
Parentline offers advice and support on a wide range of parenting topics, including:
bullying and friendship issues
parent–child relationships
parenting strategies and behaviour management
mental and emotional wellbeing—for both children and parents.
You can speak with a trained professional by phone or webchat (6am-midnight), seven days a week.
An online bullying support forum is also available. This is a safe, moderated space to connect with others, ask questions, and share experiences.

Connect to Prep

This week marked a very special milestone for our 2026 Prep students as they took part in their very first Connect to Prep transition session. We were thrilled to welcome these excited young learners to Caboolture State School, and it was wonderful to see their curiosity as they explored their new learning environment.
Thank you to all the parents and carers for your support and commitment to a smooth start to school life. Your involvement in these early experiences helps lay the foundation for a confident and successful transition into Prep next year.
We look forward to sharing many more moments with you and your children over the next 5 weeks. If your student is enrolled or due to enrol for prep in 2026, it's not too late to join the fun!

News from our HOD-Curriculum
Welcome back to Term 4!
This term, all students at Caboolture State School are learning about imaginative texts. They are exploring how authors write then write their own narrative.
Prep and Year 1 students are learning to retell a story they have read.
Year 2 are fascinated with Tashi and the adventure he is on and will write their own adventure for Tashi.
Year 3 are reading Kumiko and the Dragon and are exploring how the author has created mood. Students will write their own narrative about overcoming a fear.

Year 4 are on an adventure with Rowan of Rin and will write their own adventure narrative.
Our 4/5 class are absorbed in The Forest of Silence - a book in the Deltora Quest series and will write their own fantasy quest narrative while Year 5 are riveted with The Callers.

Year 6 are captivated by The Wild Robot - their ideas for a science fiction narrative are out of this world!
I am enjoying reading all the brilliant writing students at Caboolture State School are producing as they plan for their own narrative. Have a chat with your child today about their wonderful ideas for writing.
Happy learning!

Day for Daniel

Our school is participating in Day for Daniel on Friday 31 October.
Students are encouraged to wear red to raise awareness for child safety.
It’s important to educate children about personal safety, help them identify unsafe situations, teach them to react and empower them to report abuse and seek help.
As part of Day for Daniel, our school will also participate in Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson. This year the lesson focuses on creating safer online and offline environments for children. Find more information on Day for Daniel and Australian’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson here: https://danielmorcombe.com.au/day-for-daniel/
Finance Matters
Departure for Year 5 Camp will be here before we can blink! Students depart from school on November 24th and return on November 26th. Deadline for full payment for the Camp is Friday, October 31st. It is important that this deadline is adhered to so that we can inform the venue (Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct at Currimundi) of our final number of participants. Statements will be sent to parents/caregivers in the next few days to assist with completing payment.
Please contact the office if you require any further information.

Parking Regulations
We have received the following information from the City of Moreton Bay.
The City of Moreton Bay regulates parking or stopping of vehicles on footpaths, bicycle paths, shared paths, dividing strips or nature strips. Please note that vehicles that are parked with two wheels on the footpath/nature strip and two wheels on the road is not considered as a lawful parking practice.
Council is legally obliged to enforce these regulations, and our Proactive School Safety Patrol Program contributes to this enforcement.
During Proactive School Safety Patrols, enforcement of unlawful parking is applied by obtaining photographic evidence and issuing a penalty infringement notice.
Council prefers that vehicle drivers are educated.
For more information in relation to parking regulation and expectation please see attached our Parking in School Zones Fact Sheet. Additionally, we recommend reviewing the City of Moreton Bay’s published material regarding parking Parking - City of Moreton Bay
